TCCTE Event Materials

This project showcases real-world design for the Tennessee Council for Career and Technical Education (TCCTE), completed during my internship. The work includes a fully creative 2-pocket folder designed for a board meeting, and a functional feedback postcard for a separate event, both of which were professionally printed and delivered to the client.

The Challenge

The initial request was for a 2-pocket folder with a minimal brief: simply "use the logo" and keep it professional for a council board meeting. The design had to be developed from scratch without text or other content to rely on.

Subsequently, a second request came in for a feedback postcard. This piece needed to be clean, functional, and incorporate a QR code, URL, and specific contact information while maintaining brand consistency.

The Process

For the folder, I developed a purely graphic concept derived from the shapes and colors within the TCCTE logo. To give the client options, I created two distinct color variations—one primarily red and one primarily blue. The client selected the blue version, which was then prepared for a professional print run of 200 copies.

For the postcard, the focus was on creating a clean and simple layout that prioritized the call to action: "Scan to Share Your Feedback." The design was kept consistent with the folder's professional aesthetic.

Reflection

This project demonstrates the ability to take a minimal brief and develop a successful, client-approved creative solution. It resulted in professionally printed materials for a real-world client, proving my skills in print production and my ability to deliver work that meets professional standards.
