TCAT Elizabethton Program Banner
I adapted and resized a promotional recruiting banner for the Meat Processing Technology program at TCAT Elizabethton's Boones Creek extension campus. Using a single provided photo of students actively working in the program, I updated an existing generic marketing layout to create a targeted, large-format vinyl banner for upcoming recruitment events.
The Challenge
The primary task was to transform a standard catalog graphic into a high-resolution 3'x6' vinyl banner while maintaining complete visual alignment with the institutional brand. I needed to incorporate a specific, user-provided program photo, rebalance the layout for large-scale print, and update localized messaging—including highlighting the hybrid curriculum model and updating call-to-action details—all while ensuring the overall typography, logos, and header elements remained crisp and balanced at full scale.
I had to preserve the established "We Build Careers" header and TCAT Elizabethton identity while reconfiguring the other sections to highlight the hybrid online/in-person training structure and current application status. I also needed to scale and formatted the graphics specifically for 3'x6' large-format vinyl output, ensuring optimal photo resolution, proper bleeds, and accurate color management for production.
Reflection
This project highlights my ability to efficiently adapt existing design frameworks into specialized, event-ready print collateral. Beyond updating copy and imagery, large-format printing requires strict attention to detail regarding image resolution, vector scalability, color profiles, and bleed margins to guarantee the final output remains sharp, clear, and professional when viewed up close and from a distance.
